How do I improve my internet connection?
Connection issues can be very troublesome whilst using this platform, as it can hinder your online tutoring experience or when browsing through our website. You can start by checking your internet speed. If the ping is above 50ms, then it can cause some problems in the online space.
However, there are some quick fixes you can do to reduce this issue, such as:
Staying as close to the wireless router as much as possible, ideally in the same room. Obstacles like huge concrete walls and home appliances like a fridge, which emits electromagnetic frequencies, can disrupt your connection.
Using an ethernet cable between the router and your device to eliminate connectivity issues.
Ensure that other internet users in the vicinity are not streaming or downloading extensive files during your online session.
Consider upgrading the wireless router if it has been around for over three to four years since providers frequently innovate their internet products.
Think about upgrading your broadband plan with your internet service provider.
As a last resort, if you are still having troubles in your online session, then it should be fine to only listen in or use audio after informing your tutor.
